2.2 WBL experience planning and preparation
2.2.3 Selecting Companies

WBL involves costs for these companies including any salary or allowance paid to learners, as well as the costs associated with supervision and guidance, tools and materials, administration and other expenses

In order to select companies that match the project profile, a prior study would be needed to identify the appropriate companies in the geographical area in which the WBL activities are to be carried out, after identifying them, it is necessary to address these companies initially via an e-mail that to explain clearly and concisely what this company desires.

If the answer is positive, there is discussion between the parties through which the terms and conditions of a partnership can be clearly established. These conditions must be materialized in a partnership agreement.

The company must be prepared to express its internship assessments, both positive and negative. And this is to make the minimum requirements of the labor integration process standardizable and to help students increase or improve their professional and / or relationship skills.

Prior to commencement of the mobility period, referral organizations and host organizations must agree with learners / staff on the activities to be undertaken by learners - through a "study contract" - or by staff members - through a "mobility contract". Such contracts define objectives for learning outcomes for the period of study abroad, specify the provisions on formal recognition and describe the rights and obligations of each party.

VET learners participating in a mobility action of at least 19 days are eligible for language support. On-line linguistic support is gradually implemented throughout the program. It is made available to eligible participants by the European Commission to assess their level of linguistic knowledge and to provide, if necessary, adequate language learning opportunities before and / or during the mobility period.
