4.2 Traineeship Pathway
4.2.3 How to evaluate a CV

However, we must not forget that in school-to-work alternation we are faced with children still in school education, therefore with a CV still to be built. It is essential to have a clear relationship with the school and therefore to obtain all the information that interests the student that the company will have. It is also important to have an interview with the student in which his / her motivations can emerge.

 The criteria required in any case by the schools for selection (both on the basis of school performance and motivation) are the following:

Selection based on school PERFORMANCE:

- grades in matters related to internships in the company in particular English, French and Spanish;

- vote in the languages ??of interest to the hosting company;

- evaluation of the motivation letter written by the student.

Selection based on the MOTIVATION ONLY:

- no particularly brilliant grades are required in science subjects but a basic knowledge of English, French and Spanish is required;

- the student showed particular passion for the subjects in the company activity in which he carries out alternation between school and work through optional participation in dedicated events or activities, presentation of extra-curricular projects, etc;

- evaluation of the letter of motivation written by the student who must contain the answers to the following questions (the answers can be written in any form, also judged by the school):

Where do you want to do an internship? in a restaurant? In a hotel ? In a farmhouse? And why?

What would you like to do at the end of the school journey?

Which topic in food and wine or tourism fascinates you the most and why?

What aspect of your hoped for future job fascinates you the most and why?

In any case, this assessment will take the first year of school-work alternation that the student will perform in the company. For the following years the company will have acquired enough to repeat the internship with that particular student.
