Main Contents of the Interview
Luisella Del Vigna teacher of the State Professional Institute "F.Martini" for the Food and Wine and coordinator of the Employee Inclusion Group of the Institute. He says that disability should be treated with normalcy. In Italy, much progress has been made since integration has passed to inclusion. We must overcome the taxonomies of the various disabilities. In this Institute we are doing an important experience applying peer tutoring, that is, the same classmates act as tutors to children with disabilities. So not only are these guys with different abilities tutored but others learn better both to do and in the civic sense. In summer, the Institute's bar runs like a normal bar. The Institute participated in the MOSALD Project which was open not only to students with disabilities but also to other subjects with different abilities. The food and wine sector offers many opportunities for employment to children with disabilities, in Italy there are many experiences in this field. It is always the parents who start the business for which many times do not have a turnover of workers. The Institute will participate in a project with the Ethic Hotel in Asti, forming the down kids who will work inside the hotel and restaurant.
