Vidin is a border town (at the border between Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia), it grew less in population in the past years due to the economic and demographic crisis in the country. Vidin is situated in one of the country regions, which is considered to be the poorest in Bulgaria. Yet, as you will see in the interview there are people who have found a market niche and a way to offer services, which can attract tourist and a way to manage their business which make people appreciate the services as very high quality.
In this interview the manager of the hotel speaks about the skills staff needs to have in order to be better employed in the hotel industry. One of the main skills he believes is also the most important is the knowledge of foreign languages - since it allows the staff to get to the customer and better understand him/her.
